An ISO container is a standardized large-capacity container that is designed for easy handling in various situations, such as loading, unloading, transporting and storing. ISO containers should not be confused with swap bodies, also known as swap bodies, for swap body systems. ISO containers and swap bodies look similar, but have slightly different dimensions: Swap bodies are usually slightly wider.
ISO containers: designs and benefits
ISO containers can be used as container solutions for various applications in the military and disaster control sector. The standardized format and the simple and stable structure make it possible to construct container modules in which several ISO containers are combined for one or various purposes. With such a modular structure, ISO containers can be used as functional containers for broadcasting, as field post offices, as laboratory containers, as command centers or as troop accommodation.
Due to its origins in the logistics sector, the ISO container is easy to transport by land and sea and is therefore often used for units or formations that need to demonstrate a particularly high level of deployability. As a deployable laboratory or deployable headquarters, containers are therefore of great importance.
