Deployable Bundeswehr and NATO headquarters consist of special containers and are designed for a particular degree of mobility (so-called deployability). They are used by the Bundeswehr air force, among others. Most of the infrastructure for this special challenge is housed in deployable containers. This type of organization means that the command posts can be set up and dismantled quickly. A high degree of modularity for the containers is ideal to ensure the greatest possible flexibility during deployment. Possible transport routes for air, water and land must also be operated in this way. This modularity also increases future-proofing.
The Air Force operates a deployable headquarters for a NATO Joint Forces Air Component Headquarters (JFAC HQ). Such deployable, multinational command posts are used to coordinate and command the air forces of various countries. For example, facilities and equipment can be provided quickly for the NATO Response Force (NRF).
Workstations and all the technology required for IT and communication with redundant systems and their own power supply are integrated into these relocatable containers. A deployable laboratory can also be set up in one or more deployable containers. The functionality of the field laboratory is crucial for the proper analysis of various chemical samples collected in the field or in the vicinity of the warehouse.
