Laboratory container

Research facilities, the police or even the German armed forces use special containers for mobile operations or as temporary solutions. Laboratory containers are used to create flexible solutions for research, analysis or as a medical facility. If, for example, renovation work is being carried out in a research facility, such containers make it possible to continue stationary laboratory operations in the meantime. Laboratory containers are also used for mobile research operations. So-called field laboratories are used in microbiology, for example, and can be extended and expanded due to their modularity.

As laboratory containers are fully functional laboratories, corresponding guidelines and standards also apply. This means that such container solutions are more demanding to implement than office containers, for example. The technical implementation therefore depends very much on the future intended use.

Beyond guidelines and standards, laboratory containers can be adapted in terms of flexibility and self-sufficient usability as part of system integration. An integrated power supply enables the mobile laboratory to be put into operation independently of locally available power connections. Supply facilities for water and heating are also among the equipment features that can be integrated. This opens up numerous areas of application. The German Armed Forces, for example, use such containers as rescue centers or emergency hospitals, while the police use them as laboratories for data analysis. Depending on the intended use, a laboratory container is designed to be stationary, semi-stationary or fully mobile, for example as a vehicle body.
