Adaptive ballistic protection offers the possibility of equipping a container with special protective functions. Conventional ballistic protection is primarily used for vehicles and containers in military operations or police vehicles and is designed to successfully defend against projectiles and explosive devices.
Adaptive ballistic protection elements are available for vehicles, which can be replaced depending on the threat situation and requirements. Logistics vehicles and protected transport vehicles (GTF) in particular benefit from this type of protection, which can be used to provide special protection for the driver's cab, for example. Police vehicles can also be suitably equipped with various solutions, such as bullet-proof glass or special door armor, and converted if necessary. The safety cell, which accommodates the driver and, if necessary, passengers, can therefore withstand many threats.
Furthermore, adaptive ballistic protection can be modularly and flexibly attached to ISO containers and thus defend against rocket fire or mortar rounds. Adaptive ballistic protection consists of multi-layered steel elements and can effectively protect container blocks from damage. This type of protection represents an additional safety element for the forces on site, particularly in military camps.
