The low-voltage protection (battery monitor) is used to protect batteries so that they are not irreparably damaged. This can happen if they are discharged below the minimum voltage. This threshold is usually 10.5 volts. In everyday life, this can happen if you leave a battery-operated lamp on. If the voltage of the batteries falls below the previously defined threshold, the undervoltage protection intervenes and physically disconnects the connection between the battery and the respective consumer objects. Only when a minimum voltage is reached again is the battery reconnected to the loads. As the focus is on protecting the battery, the undervoltage protection is often also called a battery monitor.
Batteries are often used in special vehicle construction or in associated devices. Undervoltage protection is therefore also useful here to prevent damage - especially if you want to use the technology for a long time. When integrating the system, we naturally also ensure that you and the objects are provided with maximum protection so that you can carry out your work without worrying.
