An isolating transformer is used to create a safe network by means of protective separation of circuits. It has a primary side (input) and a secondary side (output). An isolating transformer for the military or other institutions is mainly installed in containers to secure the power supply there. In lower power classes, an isolating transformer can also be used in vehicles.
The isolating transformer from Norrenbrock Technik fully complies with the requirements of protection class II and those of DIN VDE 0100 Part 710 ("Erection of low-voltage installations - Part 7-710: Requirements for special types of premises, rooms and installations - Areas used for medical purposes"). The design and concept of such an isolating transformer built by us fully complies with the relevant specifications of ZDv A-962/1 (Central Service Regulations of the German Armed Forces on the subject of "Radiation Safety"). It is suitable for use in a deployable system classified as a Zone 1 room (see also: Deployability).
